Due to the family environment and priceless artworks dogs will not be permitted at the event.


New Zealand Sculpture OnShore showcases sculptures for the whole family to enjoy, from leading and emerging artists to sculptures created by school children. There is something for all ages.

In addition to the full exhibition, come along and enjoy: Sculpture Work in Progress, The Children’s Trail, The Children’s Sculpture Exhibition in the Underground Fort, Activity sheets for children.

The exhibition provides a wonderful opportunity for children and our next generation of artists to gain inspiration, advice and insights into artists’ practice.

Tickets: Adults $15, Children (5-12) $5, Concessions (Seniors and students) $10, Family Pass (2 adults + 2 children) $35, Under 5’s Free. All profits go to NZ Women’s Refuge.

Travelling to NZ Sculpture OnShore

By car

Devonport is accessible via both the Northern and Southern motorways. Take the Esmonde Rd exit and follow the signs to Devonport, then Narrow Neck beach.


Car parking

There is plenty of parking on site at the event organised and run by Devonport Rotary. Parking in exchange for a small donation. Free Car Parking is available at Narrow Neck Beach reserve, with a two-minute stroll to Fort Takapuna.

By ferry

The Auckland ferry terminal is situated at 99 Quay Street, which is right at the bottom of Queen Street, with ferries leaving on the hour and half hour.

By bus via the ferry

Once you have arrived at the Devonport Ferry building, you can hop on the 813 bus which will take you around to Narrow Neck and the NZ Sculpture OnShore exhibition.

By bike via the ferry

For the bike lovers, bring your bikes and go for a leisurely cycle around to the exhibition, taking in some of the fantastic scenery of Devonport. There is also bike hire and tours available from Cycle Auckland in the Devonport Ferry Building.
