Schools Programme

Designed especially for schools

NZ Sculpture OnShore is delighted to announce we have started organising the School Tours Programme for the 2018 exhibition in November at the historic Fort Takapuna, Devonport, North Shore.

There will be over 100 artworks by established and emerging NZ artists in a wide range of contemporary sculptural practise to delight and engage all audiences. We have developed a package of teaching resources to encourage students to develop their responses to sculpture through interactive and informative activities. You will have access to the unique Children's Sculpture Exhibition held in the fascinating underground Fort.

We invite schools, educators, and student art groups to register their interest for a visit. The School Tours Programme is suitable for Year 3 - Year 13; whole class, small groups, art extension, gifted & talented, English language students, or those just simply keen to experience sculpture in an outdoor gallery.

The NZ Sculpture OnShore school programme has been specifically designed for school children in Years 4-10 (aged approximately 8-15 years).

The programme includes a half-day visit to the exhibition, with a strong emphasis on encouraging participation and engagement with the full range of outdoor works. We have developed a package of teaching resources including an education pack to help you make the most of your visit.

As well as the main exhibition, your visit also includes access to our unique Children’s Sculpture Exhibition held in the fascinating underground historic Fort Takapuna.
