What inspires your art practice?
I seem to have been naturally drawn to being an artist since my teenage years. Since coming to New Zealand I have been inspired by the natural landscape here. My work is mainly to do with the female form and birds.
What materials do you work in?
I work mainly in ceramics, usually terracotta.
Describe your artwork for NZ Sculpture OnShore 2021
This is inspired by my desire to see people reading more and to have them enjoy nature by listening to the birds, enjoying the sun and the wind and having a more peaceful life, with a smile. I feel our lives need to be simpler.
