Jamie Thomas originates from the heart of the central plateau and is a fine example of young talent emerging into the art industry.  

His work is inspired by a range of concepts, from historical New Zealand events to current situations and sentimental ideas.   

Jamie is particularly drawn to the challenges and possibilities presented by steel sculpting, and he enjoys exploring the various techniques that can be used to create different effects on steel.    

Thomas utilises a diverse range of mediums, such as corten steel, old horse shoes and stone, to craft sculptures that are unique and connected to New Zealand.
