Collection: Jin Ling

Jin Ling was born 1958 in the Henan Province, Mainland China.  

She studied at Guangzhou University in the 1980's gaining a degree in Fine Art majoring in Sculpture. She has lectured in art and design for eleven years at Suzhou University and undertook public commissions for large scale sculptures for the Suzhou city authorities.   

In 1997 Jin Ling arrived in New Zealand and began working as a sculptor, and has exhibited in New Zealand and Australia since then.   

She works from her studio at Glenbervie Whangarei. 

Her work has been exhibited at the Gold Coast International Art Awards, Australia (1998, 2000), the Annual Spring Exhibition of Art, Invercargill (2000 guest artist); Art Out There Waiheke (2000, 2008, 2009, 2010); Shapeshifter Lower Hutt and at New Zealand Sculpture OnShore since 1998.
